The Wilds.. This had been his first expedition to such a dangerous place and it was quite early on in his career. Either Team Rocket had trusted this man far more than he had anticipated or they were ready to take him out already. In his eyes, he had preferred to think of it as the former as opposed to the latter. Given the fact that he had been paired up with one of those Avatars though.. Well just about anything was possible now.

Regardless of the intentions behind the actions of his higher ups, Olliver was here now. And from what he could tell, things weren't going to be all that easy to handle out here. Out here, in the Ultra Crater that could be found within Fortree City, even the surrounding area had been a mess. Case in point, why in the world was the sky yellow?? There were far too many things that Olliver simply didn't understand about the situation at hand.

"Right.. So we aren't out here to try our hand at catching these Pokemon but to watch out over the area and gather information." Although it would seem as though he was speaking to Gavin, he had really been speaking out loud to himself. He was rather anxious for being out here with an individual such as Gavin and was doing his damnest to not show as much. "That said, we should proce-"

Before he could even finish his sentence, Gavin would go on to release the mythical Pokemon that had chosen him to be his avatar. Shadow Lugia. A Pokemon that has been referred to as the guardian of the seas. A Pokemon with such corrupted proportions that even Olliver couldn't help but be dumbstruck by its glory. "I.. Wow." A barely audible acknowledgement of the beast before him.

It would take a moment before Olliver had truly snapped out of his daze. Once he had though, he would slap his cheeks a bit before gesturing for Gavin to lead the way. "A-after you, Gavin, sir." His hand still outstretched, Olliver would fall into line behind the Rocket Underboss. "We should.. probably get going. I am in your care."

Rather than take the risk of running into one of these Ultra Beasts without a Pokemon to protect him, Olliver would call forth his Metagross. He was certain that the Shadow Lugia would be enough to protect the pair of them but wasn't about to go into things unprotected.

Once his Metagross had stood beside him, Olliver would turn back towards Gavin and offer him a curt nod in response. "Yeah.. You're right. My apologies." He would then proceed to close the gap between himself and Gavin, standing by his side rather than behind him.

His mind would then begin to ponder over the question that Gavin had just asked him. Just what had he made of this place?? "Well.. I suppose that it's interesting to me that we are technically still within the confines of Fortree City. If I'm being honest, it almost feels like another place entirely. What with the yellow skies and whatnot.."

A thought would then dawn on him. If this was to be considered another place then just what kind of differences had been made?? That thought in mind, Olliver would reach into his bag and proceed to remove a few of the handheld machines that he had only brought out during space-time distortions. A Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observer and a Handheld Video Camera. For the time being, he would leave his stopwatch and PDA within the bag.

With his machinery in hand, Olliver would call forth his Indeedee. He would then hand her the camera whilst attaching the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observer to his belt. "Be sure to record everything that you see, Indeedee. And as for you, Metagross, keep an eye out for any danger. Whatever you see, we'll process once we get back to HQ."

His gaze would soon return to Gavin and a soft smile would be offered to the man. "From what I've managed to gather, before we came out here, the places that pertain to the Ultra Beasts always seem to be rather strange. I'm not sure if it's from the wormholes that called forth the beasts or the Ultra Beasts themselves but.. I'm curious to find out just what I can learn from these things."
